Imperial "Standard Issue" Blaster Rifle(s)
As seen in the Original Star Wars Trilogy.
The Stormtroopers
were unswervingly loyal to the Emperor and represented the most visible extension
of Imperial might. Their primary means
of enforcement was the standard issue Imperial BlasTech E-11 blaster rifle.
A few versions of this blaster are used within the Imperial Ranks.
| I started off with the toy Hasbro Stormtrooper Blaster that I use to troop with while in my Stormtrooper, Sandtrooper, or Snowtrooper outfits. I was not happy with just using just a toy to troop around with. | |
I saw and purchased a Stormtrooper Blaster Coversion Kit. I actually purchased more than one conversion kit. I am going
to be converting three toy blasters: |

After I received my conversion kits I started work on converting my toy blasters to something a little more real to use for trooping. I started off by removing the front tip and little led light that is attached to the tip. There is still a red led light in the barrel of the blaster. I have decided to leave it in. So yes, my blasters will still light-up and make sound when the trigger is pulled. I also sanded down the text on the blaster, the seams, and little spots around the blaster. |

I then started
to test fit the pieces to see what needed to be sanded, worked on, ect.
While doing this I decided to fill in the screw holes on the the blaster
with bondo. When the Bondo was dry I sanded those spots smooth. |

| I then two-part epoxied the blaster kit pieces onto the toy blasters. | ![]() |

After the blaster kit pieces were epoxied onto the toy blasters, I primed the assembled blasters in Grey Primer. They are now ready to be painted individually. Remember I am working on three blasters at one time. So I will have a TK - nice and clean, TD - dirty from the sandy elements, and TS - weathered from the snowy conditions. |

I painted the three blasters in flat black and then in satin black. Now it is time to start weathering them. |

Here are the three finished
Imperial "Standard Issue" Blaster Rifles
Yes in real life no trooper would allow the weapon to get in such condition
but for the use of these blasters I felt it was appropriate.
TK (Stormtrooper) - nice
and clean but with some scratch marks (used).

TD (Sandtrooper) - dirty
from the harsh sand ridden dry environment.
Using paint and sand I got the look I was looking
for.

TS (Snowtrooper) - weatherd
from the cold snowy freezing conditions.
Using some clear, glitter paint I got the feel of snow and
ice on the blaster.
